SEAL AVIATION MAGNETIC PARTICLE NDT SERVICES

Magnetic particle testing (MT) is a non-destructive testing process for detecting discontinuities on the surface and just beneath the surface in ferromagnetic materials such as iron, nickel, cobalt, and some of their alloys. By inducing a magnetic field into the part, this allows the technician to detect the presence of a  discontinuity in the material. SEAL Aviation uses this sophisticated equipment in our NDT lab as well as in the field to ensure our customers only need to make one call for all their maintenance and testing needs. In the aviation industry, magnetic particle testing is also referred to as MT or MPI.

SEAL Aviation can perform the following methods of Non-Destructive Testing:

Radiography (RT) - Eddy Current (ET) - Ultrasound (UT) - Bond testing - Paint thickness testing - Liquid Penetrant (PT) - Magnetic Particle (MT) - Optical Prism

NDT Magnetic Particle MT engine mount
MT - cracked engine mount at weldline

MT - damaged bolt hole
