Cold working refers to the process of strengthening a metal by changing its shape without the use of heat.


This process involves strengthening a metal by changing its shape. This process is also known as work hardening. This metalworking technique involves subjecting the metal to mechanical stress so as to cause a permanent change to the metal's crystalline structure.
